Matchmove (or 3D tracking in VFX) is a technique used in 3D graphics and visual effects (VFX) that involves synchronizing digital elements with real images in a filmed scene. The main objective of matchmove is to match the movements of the real camera and objects within a 3D environment, in order to realistically integrate digital elements (such as 3D objects, characters, or special effects) into a live-action video sequence.
