At first contact, in the Saigon cantonment where they had just arrived in November 1945, a friendship was born between André Cariou and Robert Tual. André, who suffered from not being able to participate in the Resistance, joined up on a whim. Robert, who joined the resistance at the age of 14, wants to rediscover the passion of combat. They were told that they were going to liberate Indochina from the Japanese, but the reality is quite different.
White Soldier is a French television film, directed by Érick Zonca. It was awarded at the 43rd International Emmy Awards ceremony.
